We built a job search engine that tells you which listings are actually real.
Anyone who has searched for a job in the last few years knows the feeling: you tailor a resume, write a thoughtful application, hit submit — and hear nothing. Not a rejection, not an acknowledgment. Silence. Then you notice the same listing is still up weeks later, unchanged.
The modern job market has a transparency problem. Every week, millions of new postings appear across LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and dozens of niche boards. A meaningful share of them are not what they appear to be: ghost jobs that were filled, frozen, or never existed; scraped reposts republished long after the original role closed; lead-generation traps that exist to collect resumes; and outright scams designed to harvest personal information. The platforms hosting these listings have little incentive to verify each one, so the burden of vetting falls entirely on the job seeker.
That burden is enormous. Every hour spent crafting an application for a listing that was never real is an hour stolen from a genuine opportunity — and from your confidence.
True Jobs aggregates job listings from more than 20 sources in a single search and assigns every one a Realness Score: a 0–100 rating that estimates how likely the posting is to represent a genuine, currently open role at a real company. Instead of manually investigating each listing, you get an at-a-glance signal so your limited application energy goes where it can actually lead somewhere.
We do not simply repost what other boards show. Each listing is evaluated against multiple independent legitimacy signals — company verifiability, posting freshness, description specificity, salary plausibility, and source reliability — before it ever reaches your results. You can read a full, transparent breakdown of how that works on our Realness Score methodology page.
True Jobs is for anyone whose time and morale are being eroded by a broken job market: career changers navigating an unfamiliar field, professionals quietly exploring while employed, recent graduates facing their first search, and people returning to work after a break. If you have ever wondered whether half the listings you applied to were even real, this was built for you.
We collect only what is needed to make the product work. If you upload a resume, we store the extracted text — never the original file — and use it solely to personalize matching within your own account. Resume data is purged on a regular cycle, and you can delete your resume or your entire account at any time. We never sell personal data. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Questions, feedback, or a listing you think we scored wrong? We want to hear it — reach us at privacy@thetruejobs.com. Job seeker feedback is the single biggest input into how we tune the Realness Score over time.
